Nah...it had a flipcover that you open from the bottom to expose the keypad. It also had a pull out antenna.

It looks similar to this phone but Sprint branded.

Best phone I ever owned. Once left it in the yard overnight while it rained, and it was working just fine when I picked up the next day. Then saw a bunch of missed calls relating to a friend getting picked up for a DWI on the way home from my house.

No. Primeco was my first cell provider. I signed up at their store in the Rice Village in Houston. I think Cingular ended up buying them out at some point.
