It's how i did the wolf, moon, tree, and elephant

It's not hard. I'm using a pencil set that i bought a Walmart. Has pencils 6B - 5H, gum eraser, regular eraser and a few other items that come in handy

I don't have too many photos of that stuff anymore. It feels like a lifetime ago. Here's one that's on the wall in the studio. Most of the others are buried in a closet or they've been sold.

Do you still do any custom work?

Someone told me when I was a kid that I would lose the ability if I didn't keep practicing. He was right; anything I draw now is impressionistic at best. I can still do some things, but people are another story.

No more custom work for me (or any other painting of any kind). I sort of retired from that stuff in 2014. I love art, but I do not enjoy the business side of it.

I do believe that if you don't keep practicing you lose a little bit over the years. The most talented illustrator I know still makes a point to draw something every day, and he's been at it for over 60 years. Of course, 99% of that is commission work, but the constant practice keeps him sharp.

I journal with mechanical pencils. However, I'm more interested in calligraphy.
