Probably 20-25 years ago. My aunt always had them, and we'd stay at her house for weeks out in the country during summers growing up.

Love the Big Red...

I spent a month on an oil rig off the coast of Africa. Day 3, we ran out of coke, day 6 tea, but we had dozens of cases of every Fanta flavor imaginable. Africans LOVE Fanta, it seems. At least, Cameroonians do.

I can't drink anything like it still...

Big Red is a soft drink created in 1937 by Grover C. Thomsen and R.H. Roark in Waco, Texas and originally known as Sun Tang Red Cream Soda. I hate it.

We didn't have Big Red where I grew up, but we did have Cherikee Red. Yes, I spelled that correctly.

Big Red is the best. Had one today. I don't think I've ever heard of people hating it. I hope to never meet you big red haters

When I was a kid we'd win about 15-20 each of the 2 liter bottles at the Westphalia picnic. We'd then drink them a bottle at a shot.

Try it mixed with Dr Pepper (2/3 DP, 1/3 Big Red). Been drinking that concoction since I was a kid. Still love it.

I drink Big Red every day. But I'm old now, so I drink Big Red Zero.

I'm probably the only 40 year old man who drinks Big Red religiously.
I'm probably one of the only people period who drinks Big Red Zero.
And I'm white.

Same here but I prefer it with Big Red.

Same here. Have been drinking Big Red since I was a kid (now Big Red Zero). White, over 40. I think the formula has changed a little over time as I think the Big Red from my youth in the glass bottles with the scalloped shoulders tasted the best (of course back then I maybe got to drink one a month......)!

Loved it as a kid and would get it on road trips to the coast. Pregnant with Diesel #1 I would drink it a couple times a week. Then I had one while pregnant with Diesel #2 and proceeded to barf that crap up everywhere and haven't had one since fall of 2014 ish.
