I'm practical and don't 'boycott' but certainly avoid being preached to by any merchant or supplier of goods, entertainment, or other services.

I'm buying what you're supplying because of what you're supplying, not your 'message'. So, the more I have to put up with a message, the less I look that direction.

that's ok,...I forgot to mention Subway, every since they used that clown baylro bob3 as a spokesperson. Hadn't seen any commercials in a long time with that goofy POS. Doesn't really matter, probably will never set foot in a Subway again. Then, there's also the rapist they used to pump sales.

Using boycott meaningfully as refusing to patronize a place despite it offering a product I'd actually want to consume, just Tacos y Mas, the ****tiest run taco joint in Dallas.

And technically taxis. Even in the situations where they are more convenient than uber or lyft, I'd still use a ride share service.

I tried to not purchase anything that abused the non-gmo label (like tomoto sauce and ketchup -- there are no gmo tomatoes), or the antibiotic-free label (like chicken -- all chicken is antibiotic free), or the gluten free label (like rice -- just duh). Unfortunately I had to stop out of fear of starvation.

Yes, but I have kids. They don't/won't wear AF. I'm not spending my $ there because their clothes appeal to youth and they intentionally a market to them in a manner I believe is wrong.

Starbucks, just because for 20 years it seemed like everyone else was in there all the damn time, and I wanted to be different. Finally went to one at Charles De Gaulle about 2 years back because it was the only thing open that wasn't weird Frenchy food.

I used to boycott Blockbuster until they went out of business. The day they shut down is in my top 5 days of all time. **** those guys.

They insisted that I rented 2 movies from a town I'd moved away from 2 years earlier and charged me a $4.10 late fee for them. I refused to pay and even provided documents proving that I couldn't have rented those movies because their own computer system showed that I rented a different movie from a different store that was two hours away within 23 minutes of when I supposedly rented the two movies from the town I no longer lived in. After weeks of arguing with those ****-for-brains and getting nowhere, I finally agreed to take my business elsewhere.

Four years later, I'd gotten married and was preparing to buy a house. Low and behold, my credit rating was in the toilet because those ******s had turned my $4.10 fee that I didn't even really owe over to a collections agency who never contacted me. Those ****ers nearly cost me my home and 10's of thousands of dollars because they are a bunch of dip-****s who can't admit when they screwed up. I spent weeks doing paperwork, providing documents, writing detailed statements, and meeting with credit reporting people to get that crap fixed. Although we finally got the credit straightened out, it took forever so we had to buy my home in only my wife's name which ended up costing us a lot of cash before we could refinance with the correct credit info.

TL;DR - Blockbuster sucks. I'm glad that company failed. I wish dead companies got buried like people so I could dance on Blockbuster's grave.
