what do these games have to do with our squad going 12 innings with SFA? Because other teams shut the bed it is ok if ours almost does? Strange rationalization.

It was an attempt to illustrate what happened at Olsen last night is not all that unusual in baseball especially in early midweek contest where new kids are getting their first chance at the D1 level and where the game is much more meaningful to one school than the other. The Ags found a way to come back from an early five run deficit to win. In some of the games listed above quality highly ranked teams found a way to lose despite holding late leads.

Exactly, if anything it will help the team with confidence. They faced adversity and handled it to the tune of nine shutout innings by the bullpen and Olsen Magic. Gave the young players a taste of a walk off win, so when its tied 1-1 in the ninth vs Miss St later in the year they've been there done that. Martin faced serious adversity. Handled it, then came back dominant. Obviously you want to blow them out but you find the positives of the game, which there many and move on to Pepperdine.

There are plenty of threads that you can make negative remarks on. Just dont get all "the sky is falling, woe is me" on the game threads. Thats how you catch the ban until the end of the game.
