I think Jonathan is focusing on Corto Lima and his catering stuff. I was at the space in November, really neat room. He did a dinner for me and 3 friends (TJ Cox is the boyfriend of my Lexington Best friend..she is with Kentucky Ballet up there and he does bar menus and cocktail and sommeliers and stuff) His food is pretty fantastic.
We shuddered a little when we'd heard about all the other restaurants, but apparently there were some pretty dumb moves made in the past and they did their homework or something. Hopefully it works!

There are a dozen or so white table cloth and "nouveau-something or other" high end restaurants downtown. And while the median income is high and there are lots of foodies here, Lexington isn't that big. The high end restaurant scene is tough sledding.
I think the key in that location is to capitalize on the lunch crowd transiting between the courthouse across the street and the law and professional offices in the blocks behind them. Mrs. Wildcat and I plan to check it out this weekend. We saw some activity in the space a week or so age that suggested they were open.
And I'll break a personal rule here since I derailed the thread:
PS. This box is near Kentucky Mustang's...who is kind enough to let my family use his tickets a day during each meet at Keeneland.
