I love HS football back there. It is so much fun. Nothing like Aggie games of course, but 10,000 people at a HS game is pretty cool.

Now where are all my fellow Indians?

i graduated from nederland in 96...i think i went to one football game in the 2 years i lived there.

Well I gotta give my 2 cents. I went to PN-G class of 92 and I would have to stay that no school has more tradition or spirit than the INDIANS. While in school I really did not appreciate it that so many people showed up at games but now as a high school coach at one of the largest 5A schools in the state (Houston area) I wish we could get as much team, school spirit as back home. PN-G vs. Nederland is as big as any other High School rivalry...it means something to the people involved as it does to many other city's in Texas.

I don't think we had a rivalry at LC-M. We couldn't have beaten the drill team when I was in high school.

I have to agree with Car. I believe that PNG STILL holds the high school record for attendance at any high school game in Texas.

The only Bulldogs in the Golden Triangle worth a mention are my Kelly Bulldogs! I don't think they've won a game all season, but the great Aggie Quarterback Craig Stump is the head coach now. He'll turn it around.

PNG is the A&M of HS football, those people are loyal to a fault. I married one that also happens to be an Aggie. I DO know that PNG has prettier girls than Nederland. Sorry Beast.

I remember playing PNG in the high school playoffs and we beat em back in '90 I think it was. PNG I remember had a bad rap for supposedly being this totally all-white hot bed for klan activity. Was that true? Just asking, not making accusations.

Nederland v. PN-G is one of the longest fought rivarlies in Texas. both schools have great pride and loyal fans. but we are beating the ever livin hell out of those Indians this week at Bulldog Stadium.

Ya'll do realize that Dustin Long (A&M quaterback) is from PN-G. Keith Waguespack is a PN-G alum from 89,90 or 91 and he went on to A&M and was a kicker... I think he's a doctor now?
