I have heard from locals that there are "better" options that aren't as touristy... However I thought Rendezvous for Memphis style ribs was great. And touristy or not, the lay out of the place was very cool.
And when I was told that we had to go to a Fried chicken place, I thought my buddy had lost his mind. But Gus's fried chicken is legit.
And you can trust me on food.... I'm fat.

It blows my mind that anyone would go to Memphis as a tourist and NOT go to Graceland. Many hotels can get you free passes. Even if you're not a fan, it's a great museum of 1960's and '70's era new money excess.
