I already have two, so therefore I'm at the brink of being a crazy cat lady. So no, unfortunately I can't. They are adorable though.

My first paying summer job as a kid was trapping and drowning or shooting stray cats for my grandpa, so cats bring back fond memories for me.

My boss at A&M lived out in the country and he and his wife would catch strays and take them in to get spayed/neutered. Seemed a littttttle more humane then just killing them. Poor kittehhz

I have a cat, and am an animal lover, but the amount of strays and feral cats that are roaming hurt native bird and small animal and game populations. There are too many cats, and they need to be culled.

That being said, here's a picture of my pocket to put one of the kittens in.

Six years ago on ring day. I was already drunk and had dunked my ring at a house party earlier. They convinced me to dunk it again in the rest of the pitcher of the margarita. I don't recommend this. It hurt like hell. I got kicked out of Coco Loco that day...

Not bragging. And not house cats. Feral cats and strays. You can tell right away when you approach the live trap if it's a domesticated cat or not based on its behavior towards you. The domesticated cats got released in hopes that they would return to wherever their home was. The ferals and strays got dispatched humanely.

Our reasoning for what we did. We tried just relocating them initially, but they came back.

The answer to your problem isn't killing the cats. Without the existing feral cat population, feral cats from surrounding areas will move in to taje over that territory, which causes the same overpopulation, fighting, etc. that you currently have.

The long term answer is Trap Neuter Release. By catching strays and having them fixed, you stabilize the population. The cats' presence helps keep new cats away. The ones that are there don't breed, are healthier, less aggressive, etc.

Looks like we have some country ass posters in here. I never shot a cat but I loaded up a jack rabbit with at least 15 pellets one time. My grandpa wouldn't let me cross the fence into the neighbors property. I watched it squirm away as I kept pumping it with lead from my air rifle hoping it would die because it looked in so much pain. I wonder if that rabbit healed up and survived or got eaten by coyotes?
