No one cares, but I call carbonated drinks "soda". However, I do refer to all tissues as Kleenex, even though that's just a brand and not what they are. I'm a hypocrite.

It's a generational thing really. Kids nowadays just don't say soda water but it definitely was the norm. I don't have a problem with calling all soda waters coke either.
