Asked for the 10k but dad wouldn't have it.

Interesting. I did not know that. My wife has a friend who's dad makes custom jewelry so he made it for me for a good price. I think we paid around $300 or so since the gold was "free". It's not 100% accurate though. The sides of the band are straight up as opposed to slanted on the Aggie ring.

I think it was the 10K gold and about $600.

Not sure, my grandfather bought it for me so its been priceless.

Got my ring the Thursday before Reggie McNeal shocked OU under a newly promoted offensive coordinator named Kevin Sumlin.

10k natural, got largest diamond I could without changing the shield, I believe that was .20.

I remember total cost was $912 and that the diamond cost more than the ring itself at that time. When my bro in law ordered his in 09, he paid more for ring without diamond than I paid total for mine with diamond.

10K gold women's ring last november was around 500.

The diamond and the ring were about the same price, so my dad bought the diamond and my grandfather, '58, bought my ring.

$70 (and Former Student's Association paid half - so my out of pocket about $35.00). The year was 1971. Room, Board, and Laundry at my dorm (Law Hall - 1968 - 1971) was $350 per semester (un-airconditioned dorm). My academic scholarship covered tuition -- which was a big $50.00 per semester. But of course mnimum wage as about $1.80 and my construction jobs in the summer paid about $3.50 per hour.

Fall 2008 (finally!!) Women's 10k antique ~$600 I think.
