I'm not disputing that a toboggan is a sled... but many (including myself) also refer to that type of hat as a toboggan...

I used to call them toboggans, but enough people looked at me like I was crazy that I stopped. Now I refer to them as beanies even though my first thought when someone says beanie is this:
