Cut and Shoot?

I lived in Cut and Shoot and there is no reason to visit there. Unless you just want a picture of the city limit sign and the post office.

My grandmother was a Wimberly and her Great Grandfather (I think) founded that town. It's a beautiful place, I've been there quite a few times.

jja79, I'm from FS too. What year are you? Oh yeah, and anyone that thinks lajitas is a small town hasn't gone there in a while. This guy from Austin bought the whole town and turned it into a multi-million dollar resort. Only the richest people go there. Its crazy, my step-father got to appraise some of it and Sandra Bullock and Mel Gibson were down there. Absolutely crazy that someone would take a risk like that.

Muleshoe lacks everything Jacksboro does, in spades. They've had less than a dozen births in that county for the past thirty years and probably not that many inches of rain.

Ben Wheeler - are you kidding me? That town is almost as depressing as Edom. Which reminds me - when I was in high school, a kid in my journalism class robbed the Edom bank (actually run out of a trailer). Weird stuff.

Gilmer (also for personal reasons, Lt01. It's hard just passing through there).

I wasn't around 30 years ago, but the town sure has changed since the early 90s. I remember when Beef n' Brew and La Hacienda were the main places to eat in town.

I lived there my entire life until I moved to College Station in '95.

Junction...I spent half a summer there and took a couple of classes at the Texas Tech center, stayed in the screened cabins for 2 weeks thank you very much. On the weekend, went to London, about 15 miles up the road and had some fun at London Hall...anybody ever been there? Good times...good times...

I'm curious, why did you say Ben Wheeler? Is it because you have actually been there or do you like the name? Because, there isn't anything in Ben Wheeler execpt a couple of gas stations on Hwy 64.

I'm from Salado. It's a pretty cool little touristy place.

Round Mountain. Home of the LARGE truck stop on 281 South of Marble Falls. Nothing there but said LARGE truck stop, but their billboards always make me smile.

Rosebud? As in Rosebud-Lott? Please explain that one! Nothing there.

Bogata? I played football againt Rivercrest-Bogata. I don't remember what the town looked like but it was the 1996 homecoming game at R-B's stadium. And there were some serious storms and the tornado sirens went off, and the game was delayed.
