I'm sick and tired of the majority of engineer drop out students that ended up graduating as an I.D. considering themselves as Engineers and telling others that they are.

Just because your department is part of the Dwight Look School of Engineering, does not make you an Engineer.

If you were an Engineer, your diploma would have Industrial Engineering written on it, not Industrial Distribution.

I was in IE for a semester because of my transfer. IE is truly for the rejects who couldn't cut it in any other engineering.

14 years after graduation, I still have buddies that tell people they're an Engineer when asked about thier jobs, when they are nothing of the sort, just got a degree in engineering. Drives me nuts.

Computer Engineering- Computer Science track?

Mays requires a 3.0 minimum to get in. I doubt too many people really "flunk" calculus and still have a high enough gpa to get in.

hahahahaha me and my roommate (both of us ID) used to love giving our 3rd roommate (nuclear) a hard time. "Hey, it's in the school of engineering so we're engineers." He would get so pissed as we would leave him at the apt to study all night as we went to the bar.

Of course we don't think we're real engineers. It's all in fun.

But to say IE are engineering rejects, you are way off. Depending on when you transferred in, all IE and Meen take all the same classes together for the first 2 years. After that IE go deep in simulation, process and system analysis that a lot of people can't do. I bet you struggled with Stat 201 if you took it at A&M.

I can understand that if you were an I.E. for when one semester when you transferred in, it was probably easy. You know why it's easy? The department has a rule that if you are a transfer student in the department, doesn't matter if you are a sophomore or junior, you have to take the freshman I.E classes. All intro classes are easy.

Would someone still at A&M please inform me of what the "Engineering Technology" degree is. ENTC I think?
