i choose to vote for the fiscally conservative regardless of social stance because i really do believe that currently, fiscal issues are much more critical to our nation than social ones

thats not to say i would vote for a hitler type person if he was socially conservative

money is important but it just doesn't compare to the value of equal rights and freedom to me. do i want to live in a socialist nation? no. do i think america will become one? no

Social issues won't mean sh*t if none of us has the money or choice to do as we feel economically and regarding our health.

Get the fiscal issues fixed first, then worry about the social.

And, yes, yes, I know, healthcare can be social as well, but right now, it is the fiscal side that is causing great consternation.

fix the economy, balance the federal budget, and reduce taxes.

then we can calmly proceed to look at social issues all you want

Is taking from the rich and giving to the poor not wealth redistribution? Yes...and it's been happening prior to today. Not a new concept from Obama. Our tax dollars have always gone to social services such as police, ambulance, fire, school, library, and yes, welfare. This is not a new concept.

Not everyone is going to be equal. I have no idea what you mean by this. Are you talking about Equal Rights? Or are you talking about being equal financially?

That would be Communism.

And you are acting like if Republicans or Conservatives were in power you would be locked up in jail for the rest of your life, which isn't true.

I believe you are letting your bias against conservative lead to an extreme conclusion.

Look at how much we are taxed already. Do you want more of your money taken from you?

Gov't redistributing wealth will not make this country wealthy. It simply cannot do it.

And just b/c we have some facets of socialism does not mean they are all right.

Basic services such as cops, etc. is a copout. No pun intended. They are on the state level and city level. An entire city could choose not to have them if they wanted.

You're sticking to your ideology more than reason. This bill is not good for America, and you should join in the fight to stop it and force Congress to come up with a much more measured approach.

Yes, 3$, these kinds of things are being written into the bill. Rationed care. Don't say it's not possible. It is already alive and well in Europe and Canada.

EMR and ID card are two different things

i support EMR because i have seen too many patients with files in 8 different doctors offices and they dont communicate...leading to bad patient or overlapping care. i do not support an ID card

the bill is out there, you can read it, so we SEE it. It proceeds directly to a singlepayer socialized healthcare system for everyone.

You didn't even need to wait for the bill to come out to know thats where it was going as they began drafting it.

You didn't need to wait for Obama to be elected to know that this was the direction he was going.
