When I used one of my Q-Drops, I went in to give the prof a heads-up. He gave me this speech about, "maybe college isn't for you."

If I wasn't such a cocky goof-off, that speech might have really rattled me. Instead I thanked him and went on my way.

And DrAcula -- you're clueless. There are some legitimately tough courses at A&M. Try enrolling in "Fourier Series and Wavelets" or the first two semester of classical Greek. If you match the grades I had in those classes, then you can give me crap about the courses I Q-dropped or failed.

Whatever, folks. Keep trying to rationalize those D's you got. 36% doesn't cut it in the real world, despite what your Physics prof would lead you to believe. After all, he can't fail the whole class.

chem 227.. it was at that point i decided i no longer wanted to work in the medical field..

will, the best part is that you rarely use o-chem in the medical field. it is a precursor for biochem, used in pharmaceuticals and physiology. I "got" o-chem better once I was able to see how one type of molecule affects the rest of the body.

Agreed Cheer. If OCHEM 1 or 2 was hard wait till you get to BICH 1 and 2. And yes sometimes the professor can make or break the class, regardless of how smart you are. Being smart doesn't mean I can speak every language or understand slurred speech. OH and to make people feel better I used all my Q-drops back in the day (And failed BICH 2) and still graduated and received my Master's Degree. There is more to school than grades and I definetly had a 4.0 in socializing and contributing to my organizations.

BICH 410 was one my one q-drop. the next semester, I retook it with a different prof, and made a B. I definitely agree that a prof can make or break a class.

I'm so glad to see all of the people that failed Math 141 and 151. I failed 151. I would ask questions in class only to have Greg Kline respond with "Why don't you understand that?" and then would proceed to not answer my question but repeat the exact same thing he had just attempted to teach me.

I went to study groups, I went to the professor after class, during office hours, and still, I failed. He told me if I made a decent effort on the final, making at least a D, he would pass me.
