this is dumb. to expand upon, I have never heard of a confirmation ring and I work with kids on a daily basis. don't be a tart to someone just because they think you are misrepresenting yourself. it IS the majority opinion that if you have a ring on your left hand, you are unavailable.

next point, to the non catholics... please don't try to judge baptism when you have no idea about what it means to us vs confirmation. you'll look like an idiot really quick.

I have been a Lutheran all my life and it is pretty traditional to get a ring for confirmation. Not a lot of Texans are Lutheran and many stop wearing their ring after a while.

In my family it is traditional to get a leather bound Bible as well. Just thought I'd throw that out there.

no source really, but I know tons. i drive by 3 lutheran churches in 3 miles to downtown and only one catholic church. my real point is that you are silly for presuming that people know what you think it means.

I don't expect them to know what exactly it means, just that it's not a wedding ring...and I didn't appreciate being insulted for my decision.
