I figure out what the terrible truth is:

The germans created some monstrosity of an animal during their experimenting....then they banished it to the island of japan hoping that it would not be discovered...then they conspired with the US to bomb Japan when they learned the animal was about to escape.

That is the truth and the conspiracy. Unfortunately, it is evident that the animal has survived and this local club is trying to warn the world but only the worthy learn in enough time to save themselves!!!!

It's definately marketing for something. It seems a bit intricate for it to be a small-time A&M thing. On the other hand, it seems too A&M-centric to be a national campaign.

In any case, all we're left with now is the Japanese letter and the two pictures embedded in the cryptozoology website.

well copelt, i hope that you are right and this is nothing. altough i do have to agree that this is centered to A&M too much to be something like cloverfield.
