the fake bonfire that was scheduled to make attendees have to miss a major Aggie sporting event? is that what bonfire was about? (I attended several and the 1 year memorial in the freezing rain at 3 in the morning as a hs student)

Ok people. Since there is no "real" Bonfire anymore, why not go support a group that is trying to keep alive a great Aggie Tradition?

Now, if there was an on-campus Bonfire, then the off-campus would be a "poser, fake, etc" Bonfire.

And 06, did you attend all the basketball games 4 years ago when A&M's basketball was atrocious? Or are you one of those people who just started going because of the success of the program?

yeah efff all of you who think we should drop everything to go to basketball games now. Where were you 3 years ago? I seriously doubt you were all attending a&m basketball games over anything else. I know what you are thinking 'Where was ol' terradactyl 3 years ago?' And I can tell you that I was at the same place then that I will be at now......

I will not be attending either. but I have to work. if I had to choose between Bonfire and basketball, I'd choose Bonfire. there are only one of those each year, but there are multiple basketball games.

Agree with Rebel. My point was that if basketball wasn't so important back then to miss, why is it now? And between us, A&M has had the basketball team a long time. I wouldn't say it's a "new" tradition. Traditions are not based on wins and losses.
