I, with my family, used to go to Bonfire all the time before '99. And we all cried on 11.18.99. The only reason that A&M disagrees with its existence is for political reasons, even though they already cannot be found liable. And I beg to differ that it is a "slap in the face" to A&M. How can Aggies getting together and putting countless hours into building something Aggies have built for nearly a century be a "slap in the face?" Is it because it isn't university sanctioned? Did you dunk your Ring? A&M has been trying to get rid of that for decades. Is that a "slap to the face?"

Who cares if the Board of Regents and the President sanction Bonfire? I, and many other Aggies who support Bonfire, don't need the approval of those rich-ass people for me to continue an Aggie tradition that has gone on for nearly a century, even if it has to be off campus.
