AVOID THIS USER. Said he would send me tickets multiple times after payment, never sent. Seemed okay as he has a bunch of posts on other threads and a 12th man Donor. Should be banned.

I think this is the one that scammed me and others last fall… We really need TexAgs get them off of here.
I checked profile, post history, and got copy of confirmation email. My mistake was responding to them after they PM'd me asking I wanted tickets.
Yes last year a lot of us did the same exact thing and believed they were legit given their posting etc. They've scammed/tried to scam a lot of people.

This guy needs to be perma-banned. You'd think it would be pretty easy to figure out who he is since he has a foundation account linked.

I have gone ahead and banned this user, but I'm confident he'll be back with another account. I cannot stress importantly enough to only deal with users with an AgTag. It is is the hardest thing for a non-ag to obtain. Everything else is just a matter of money, which these scammer have been willing to pay.

Why not make this board Ag Tag only? Seems like an obvious solution.
Just wanted to say thanks for everyone who reports these scumbags and trying to help other Ags out....Hate that anyone gets scammed!
AgTag only not a bad idea...won't eliminate dishonest people but...it could be a good start!

It won't eliminate dishonest people, but, it will eliminate complete strangers to this community from looking at posts and texting unsuspecting Aggies who willingly put out on the internet that they want to send money to a stranger. This is the huge majority of scams and could be fixed with a very easy change.

AgTag-only has been discussed a number of times. It has merit, but also some downsides for those without them that want to participate. Participation is voluntary and the AgTag is public, thus my caution stands, if you don't see an AgTag, assume you're be scammed until proven otherwise. Those that engage with users without AgTags do so willingly against this caution.

This warning is posted constantly and many other fool proof tips for avoiding scams. The people that will get scammed will never see the warnings.
I've sold and bought tickets for decades on here. I'd say ag tag or 5+ years of being on Texags with over 1k posts.
I wish we could have tags for us season ticket holders.
If it's a newer user without ag tag then demand using PayPal non friends and family.

As a non-AgTag poster that's been here for years, I've sent tickets before payment. Figure it's a reasonable concession since my AgTag was lost years ago after a rant.
