That was a fun meet to watch - I was waiting to see if they decided to post the results anywhere. Since they aren't I won't go into too much detail.

I would give the swim of the meet to freshman breastroker Alia Atkinson in her 50 breast. Let's just say she broke the record by over a second.

The freshman women look solid - not as stacked with freestylers as last year, but seems to be far more diverse in talent. Sturdy swam which is great - she will be back in top form in no time.

The men have some great additions to their roster - Israel Duran won two events and Shawn Clarke joined him in the top 5 of the final results. Alejandro Jacobo appears to be in midseason form already.

Coach Holmes has been making a habit of saving fast swims for February and with this unheralded, unproven class to work with - A&M will turn a few heads come the end of the year.

that's great to hear about the newcomers on both sides...if Atkinson is as advertised and can take out the Longhorns in their best event, breaststroke, they might just go down next month at The Rec...they have owned us in the medley relays forever; it would be great to knock them off to start out the meet...maybe she is the missing piece of the puzzle...I can't wait to see that meet!
