Not an optimal way to start the season:

Glen Gulutzan said Matt Duchene suffered a little bit of a setback with his lower body injury and is back in a maintenance program.

Duchene is doubtful for Friday’s season opener and Gulutzan is expecting to go with 11F/7D against St. Louis.

Bad news on the Matt Duchene front
But with 7 games in 13 nights to start the season, forward depth has become a priority. This solves the issue https://t.co/SJKU4GByyY

FYI for those that don't know - LTIR is minimum 10 games and 24 days, but it also frees up salary which is why Hyry and Blackwell were able to be called up. Of course when (if) he's ready to come back, then the roster shuffling starts again.

Salary rules (from Gemini):
If an injured player is expected to return during the regular season or playoffs, the maximum cap relief benefit a team can receive is limited to the previous season's league average salary ($3,973,228 for the 202627 season). If the player's actual cap hit is lower than that average, the team receives only the player's actual cap hit.

Game day !

Hope the long break helped the team recharge.

Smh how did I miss the new thread.

Happy gameday!

Can't wait! Seems like forever since that last playoff game against the Mild.

BTHO Everybody!

Anybody want my seats for Monday night? 311 G, two seats, $35each
Tough to make weeknight games with kids soccer practice every night!

Also if anybody would like any other weekday games this season let me know and I'll likely be able to transfer them to you for what I paid or lower

Ok. I may have to make a game early this year so I can use one while watching at home.

Das Skoot.

Under 3 hours to go

FYI: even though Amazon Prime is the new streamer, the game is on TNT tonight. Got confused when Amazon said to subscribe to HBO Max tonight.

Thank you. I was about to start yelling at the TV, or maybe a cloud.

Let's go Stars!

I assume the beginning of the game will be on Trutv instead of TNT since there is still a lot of time in the Red Wings Rangers game?

An Eastern Conference matchup goes over and ****s over our start time?? Our season opener no less? I'm shocked and stunned!

8:18 start on TruTV if this game goes over.

TruTV switched to Stars.

stupid mctavish

Same ol Stars...

Miro/Harley pairing is different this year...

I really need the Stars to have a good season this year. Can't handle all of my teams sucking at the same time. Don't make me start watching the Wings!

I've been considering watching the Dallas women's soccer team. Someone has to be good.

Otter

I know it's the first two periods of the season, but we look like ass so far...

Otter caused that one but we haven't been able to score either

….and now Roope is hurt. Geez

Well this is not an optimal way to start a season….

This season is going to have to be a "bridge" year. They did absolutely nothing to get better because they have no money. They're banking on "health" which is kinda hard to do in this sport with guys that get hurt.

I hate adding minor penalties against teams on bad end of a major.

I hate when there's a true penalty and an embellishment on same play even more.

Hockey has some weird rules.
