Had to put Poirier on waivers. Sucks to lose him.

Blackwell has been placed on waivers since Dallas doesn't have the cap space for 23 players and he's the odd man out. If he clears, he'll start the season on the Texas Stars roster although I doubt he plays given his injury status.

But why? Getting rid of a legit 24 year old goalie. On what planet does that make sense?

Because of his years of service, he wasn't waiver exempt. It was either place him on waivers and hope he clears, or make him your #2 NHL goaltender and get rid of DeSmith.

I hate losing Borque the most. I expect us to resign deSmith when his contract is done and we have Otter for a while.

With the contracts being signed they are going to have to pay Robo over $15 million a year. Could be more than that. Robo might ask for $17 million.

Will the Stars be willing to go as high as $15 million plus?
