Hopefully people see what Morrison is doing and players know he will make them better. Every girl on this team is better each year under him.

If someone is good, you take them and figure out the numbers later. This is our chance to build this program into a monster and you need monster players to get there.

BTW, what's the story with Amare? I feel like the others who do not play as much is understandable but I know practically nothing about her situation.

I think she is one that has tons of potential, but didn't play on the best of clubs or high school teams. She's a bit undersized, but is powerful. Not sure if she will ever make an impact at this level, but could see her staying another year and transferring to a small D1/D2. We had numbers and needed some depth for the year

Yeah I went to high school near where Amare did, let's just say the competition in the Rio Grande Valley is very very sub par. The average height of pins and middles she faced down here was probably like 5'6/5'7. She has crazy arm strength and power, just needs to develop the finesse and tools to succeed at this level. She's definitely a project, but has a lot of upside!

But that's what makes me the most happiest, these girls just continue to improve their game every single year! The growth from Ava Underwood is astounding! I'm excited to see what another year here will do for Maddie Waak, and I can only imagine how much better our pins and middles will be next year!

As for transfers, what I'm saying is maybe add 1 or 2 more, it won't be an overhaul! But with how many seniors we'll have next year, I say go add an ELITE outside hitter, or elite defensive specialist! Why not! We have the team to have a HISTORIC season next year, one or two elite transfers can be the difference!

Also, consider joining "Maroon Club". Jamie and staff have really embraced the donors who give a little extra to support volleyball. About once a month during the season, staff puts on events for Maroon Club to get a peak behind the curtain.

I have heard that is the plan (ol sarge for all sports) but also that it will take a long time to get there what with rolling out only a couple sports each year.

Pre season meet and great with the players for Maroon Club, they mentioned that the entire team went on the European tour last summer. Apparently, one player joined the team right before the trip and there was some fun getting her ready to go (Jamie taking her down to the consulate in Houston to get a rush passport). Players all said it was a great bonding experience and the team was really close because of it.

Oh, I think that is Jamie's goal. He mentioned he was wanting to see fans on the second level of Reed, and that it was amazing when he looked up during the tu game and saw people sitting up there.

Jamie likes his multi step plans. Consistently in the tournament (check), then consistently in the sweet 16, then 8, then 4, and then win it all. While he hasn't explicitly spelled it out as far as I know, I'd guess the fan base plan goes something like this: Fans on the second level (check), consistently fans on the second level, selling out Reed for a big game like tu, and then volleyball in Kyle. He has mentioned volleyball in Kyle (after the tu game), but not sure if that was in jest, an aspirational goal, or both.

Jamie has also consistently said the plans are ahead of schedule.

I'm kinda sad that ticket pull is moving online. It was a great opportunity for the various athletes to go out and connect with the student fans and encourage them to come support them.

I don't know what kind of marketing push there was on campus (although I love the Batt publishing full page BTHO [volleyball opponent]) for the tu game, but the girls were out there for ticket pull. Wouldn't have gotten to 9000+ without the students showing up big, and I think at least some of that was the ticket pull connection.

Not sure if this thread has any pull, but it's going to be my off-season mission for us to sell out the first match when school is in session! I want to see Reed packed to the nosebleeds for every non conference volleyball match! #SellOutReed

Watched a little of the A&M-Wis match form earlier this year. It is safe to say we are a very different team. Keys to the game I think are the same. Blocking will be key. Can we shut down Sarah Franklin?

Serving tough will also be key. If we can keep them out of system as much as possible, they have one undersized OH and one oversized OPP. In system; they are unstoppable. Out of system, they are suspect.


And of course, will Hellmeuth/Humphries produce. Can we get our middles going? We don't need to play perfect, Wisconsin is beatable, especially with a freshmen setter. But she's capable of giving us a tough match like CSU.

You all need to check out Jamie Morrison and the girls press conference! First thing, is that wow, he's a passionate coach who loves the game and loves his team! Secondly, he's doing a hell of a job selling this program as the portal has opened

Sounds like it'll be a fun trip regardless! Lots of great volleyball will be played! I hope the 12th man foundation or any part of the administration can really make a fun weekend out of it! Like a send off for the ladies! A lunch or dinner with all team/coaches/fans!

I'm tempted to go but probably won't be able to pull it off. Tickets are available for $250+ plus $800+ flights.

Other than final 4 or something, this is probably the away game(s) to go to. Playing in Nebraska's home arena vs Wisconsin with the chance to play Nebraska too. It's pretty much the best atmosphere in college volleyball. Even if the our Ags get outscored, watching Wisconsin vs Neb would be pretty crazy too!

Auburn's best player Madison Scheer has entered the portal! She averaged 3.48 kills per set! Auburn lost 12 of their last 13.

Alabama has also already lost at least 4 girls to the portal as well
