We have ourselves a top ten matchup on deck tonight as the Aggies have traveled to Madison, Wisconsin to take on one of the most storied volleyball programs in the nation! They won the national championship 3 years ago and have made at least the elite 8 the last 6 seasons! This year they are lead by the reigning national player of the year in Sarah Franklin who has a career 1,528 kills and set a career high of 33 kills in 4 SET MATCH! Last week against Marquette! They also have a strong front line because of their crazy height!! They have a 6'9, 6'7, 6'4, 6'3, and 6'2 all in their rotation! So we will have to work around their block! We really need to keep them out of system or we will be in for a long night because not many in the country can stop Sarah Franklin and 6'9 Anna Smerk and their right side Devyn Robinson! It's going to be a tough match, but let's give them hell and shock the nation!!! We're year 2 in Jamie's campaign but I want to see us fight! That one set Baylor won was an agreed upon 4th set

They did start the year 0-3 but those losses came to Louisville, Texas, and Stanford! They did need 5 sets to take down Baylor and TCU! They have also only played 8 games! On paper they look scary and dominant, but they haven't really played like the best team in the country many expected!! With their size and star players it's hard to imagine being able to compete with them, but based on their results we should!!!! Let's make it a match!!!

I am worried that Humprhey will not swing against the big block that Wisconsin will put up. She has even against lesser teams played conservative if she is prepped to hit a solid ball, either by set location or her footwork

If we fall behind in any set

I want her to swing and to try to tool a block rather than tip over

I was us as a team to take chances on our serves to get them OOS

They are beatable but we cant drop a set like we have against teams this year when we had no business dropping a set because this team we cant afford to drop a set like that as well as Texas next Friday at home

The one thing I'm not crazy about that Humphrey does is if the set is off, she's sets the third ball over instead of getting a decent rip at it. She plays a very safe game of volleyball, unlike Hellmeuth

She also drops her elbow a decent amount when she swings which will not help against Wisconsin's height

There's always more angle

so far Hulluth has 14 more kills on 30 more swings than Humphrey

but also 16 more hitting errors and is hitting 45 points lower percentage wise as well


So while Hellmuth can score you can say Humphrey is the better player on paper so far this season.

I say we gotta set the middles more! Especially against a taller team like Wisconsin! Let's keep their middles guessing!
