no sugar coating this, this was a absolutely disappointing finish to a disappointing season. Few girls improved, many were injured. We came into the year projected to get 2nd at this meet. We easily got 2nd last year and only lost one girl. Everyone else aside from Shewaye Johnson and Megan Roberts (who didn't run at this race last year) ran worse. On paper, Texas lost 3 of their top runners, but everyone else they have improved dramatically. Arkansas' 4 and 5 improved drastically as well. LSU's top girls got better, Tulane upgraded their roster. This is the weakest region, most of the schools outside the top 3 don't put any scholarships or resources into cross country.
