I wonder if nascar tries to save face and let Bell and Byron move on.
They would have the telemetry data and know what Bell's accelerator was doing.
This is exactly what just crossed my mind.

I think they are going to DQ Bell because of the illegal wall ride.
All the other stuff is hard to prove. The Bubba ole. Byron being a great blocker, etc.

Gluck's idea is good. There was race manipulation from both manufacturers. Hell, make it a Final Three.

Radio and our eyeballs prove the 1 and 3 were blocking for the 24. I would eliminate Bryon too but that's probably too far.
DQ the 3, 1, 24 for manufacturer manipulation and 20 for riding the wall. Unfortunately the 5 gets in if that happens.

What was said on the radio that wouldn't have been said during a normal race & the finish to the race. pic.twitter.com/ViiiJrHlYk
That was the shame of it all - we were set for an epic finish and the manipulation BS ruined itMathguy64 said:
Listening to the radio this morning.
Everyone is ecstatic with how the car/tires made the racing so good.
Everyone to a man is disgusted with all the BS between the 1/3/24 and 23/20. I think listening and reading between the lines that nobody would have been angry if both teams had been DQed. People are madder at the 1/3/24 and manufacturer stuff. Dillon's audio is really damning.

Attorneys for both sides sparred during the 70-minute preliminary injunction hearing. The judge said he hoped to rule by Friday, Nov. 8.
Jeffrey Kessler argued that 23XI Racing driver Tyler Reddick, who is in the hunt for the Cup championship, and the team's sponsors could leave if they are not allowed to run as a charter team while pursuing the lawsuit.
Even if they are an open team, they need an injunction, Kessler said, because the open agreement teams must sign releases NASCAR of antitrust claims. Although they have signed the agreements in the past, which NASCAR argued implies their consent, Kessler argued that the injunction focuses on the stipulation in a contract they have not signed (the 2025 charter and/or open agreements).
Quote:
NASCAR attorney Chris Yates said 23XI has sophisticated ownership with Michael Jordan as a co-owner and by competing in NASCAR, the teams can't enjoy the benefits of being a charter team which he said includes about 50 percent of NASCAR's television revenues going to Cup teams while making antitrust claims. And if the teams prevail, Yates said monetary damages can be calculated, so therefore an injunction is not needed.

I wish I could say I'm frustrated with what we saw yesterday, but it's been going on for more than a decade and nothing new. NASCAR has never tried to stop manufacturer cross team alliances so why should we demand they do now?
As a Gordon fan I'll never forget the "slugger, turn it to channel 2" call to Menard's crew chief, then listen to Menard's acting job about thinking a tire is going down while he cleanly spins across the front stretch allowing teammate Harvick to get caught up and pull out a win on the restart.
