I've noticed a trend with Jeannette and Daria. Typically wins the first set pretty easily and then struggles thru the rest of the match.

If Tenn wins the second on #5 (it's 5-5 currently) they have a chance, but things will have to play out perfectly.

I spoke too soon, but she really did play dominate for the most part. The conditions were very tough today
Really happy for Ellie today. Easy first set, got down in the second. Didn't panic and closed it out 6-2, 6-4. She is solid.

Carson Branstine was out at both matches. Nice to see her out supporting her former teammates. It's a shame that she is still a student at Texas A&M and not playing. A real head scratcher which few of us understand.
I've seen her slap some pretty dang good forehands. For likes 5 and 6, consistency is so important. Anyway. Interesting move. She's a great option for us now.

She is not a student "on campus", but I don't believe she ever graduated.
In December she said she would take online classes and graduate this spring.

With UNC down, we win the title if she plays this year. I'm a big Carson fan and am happy for her, but can't help but think "what if"? She's playing great tennis.
She has been on scholarship for three seasons. Played one semester and a partial semester. She is obviously healthy based of her results on the pro tour and playing very well. Seems like she would want to and also have to play for her scholarship. Doesn't add up if she is still in school and eligible to play. Don't know why she wouldn't be eligible.
If she is playing well on the pro tour, Im not sure why she would want to come back. Her previous comments seemed clear that she was focusing on the next level and moving on.

1. i think she made the right choice for her.
2. she medically retired from college tennis (cannot be undone) which means she's not paying for the rest of her school. there is a fund for that and she gets that as a resource. so not in scholarship, but not paying for school.
3. i think it's best that we thank her for what she helped the program accomplish and move on.

A bit concerned with line 1. They aren't really playing great doubles right now. Were down 2-5…won 2 games in a row to get to 4-5 and were up 30-15 before the doubles point was won at line 2. They seem a bit tentative lately. Not crossing as confidently as I've seen in the past.
Anyway. Aggies up 1-0 over that swamp kitties. Gig'em!
Also - Coach Weaver was letting the chair umpire have it quite a few times at line 1 doubles. At line 3, the match was halted for about 5-6 minutes bc Nicole literally nailed a forehand and it hit one of LSU's players in the face. Ouch.
