"According to a release from ESPN PR Tuesday, the Longhorns and Cornhuskers made history as the most-watched college women's volleyball match of all-time.

The contest, played at Amalie Arena in Tampa, averaged 1.7 million viewers, a more than 100% increase from last year's championship game between Texas and Louisville, and peaked a 2.1 million viewers overall.

Additionally, female viewership increased by more than 150% from 2022."

If Nebraska doesn't make it back to the finals I suspect those numbers might drop, but the increased audience is great for the sport. The championship is pretty good alternative programming for a network too knowing the NFL is going to crush everything that time of year on Saturday and Sunday.
