Forgot to mention Tahar Triki placed 5th in the triple with jump with a 17.01 or a 56'8 and earlier today Will Williams advanced to the finals in the men's long jump with a 8.13 or 26'8

That's how prelims usually go! I think at the Olympics her first round was 2:00 something! She led the whole race and people were afraid to pass her, it looked like she jogged it all lol

Me too! Back then we all had so much confidence and now we're all cautious just because of her lack of racing!
She led for by 5+ meters the whole race until the back 200. She looked pretty comfortable but did step slightly on the gas to make sure she wasn't passed at the line

In fairness, to get tripped up and still run a 1:58:78 is pretty impressive.

That wasn't pretty. She just doesn't have the races in her legs this year or the strategy makes it look like it. I'd be pretty concerned about the final

I just watched the race. She looked very comfortable even after almost falling down. She was smart to hold back and not try to win that semi. Let's hope that lights a fire under her. She was NOT happy walking off the track.
Part of me wants to be nervous for Mu due to her limited races this year but after seeing this semi I feel something special will happen! I don't know if a 1:55 is coming but I can see her winning it all! The way she fell and cruised back to the front so easily has to be scaring the other girls! She hasn't gone all out in one single 800 this year… something tells me she won't go home without a Gold! A 1:58 like that was crazy! Moraa sprinted with 150 to go Athing just kept her pace! If it was an all out sprint Mu takes her down!

Maybe I'm just easily annoyed, but the NBC crew have been annoying me recently. They have these huge gasping reactions on things that seem so fake

Yeah Mu could have won that race after the stumble if she wanted to but it didn't matter. She's winning the final, no doubt. And after that she's taking it from the gun and daring anyone to try to hang with her.
I wonder if Moraa tries to overtake her or does she sit back and try to gun her down! It'll be fun to see!

Seems like every Olympic or World championships a USA relay team has a failure.

During the Olympics they had a separate world feed that was much better. I don't like their current team.
