I'm sure there are scouts at most games this time of year, but allegedly there were 3 Stars scouts at the Ottawa/Montreal game tonight. Fingers crossed.

Montreal has a lot of defensive depth, with prospects ready to make the jump. Mirrors what we have forward-wise. Them as a trade partner almost makes too much sense.
And Ottawa obviously has Chychrun.

Gotta do something. Suter killed us last year and will kill us this year if we let him.

Miro being out is a huge deal and him coming back helps, no doubt about it, but we still have major problems on D. Lundqvist STILL looks incredibly over his head and small (I think we're leaning towards cutting bait here). Suter and Hakanpaa have lead feet, which gets them into major issues in the neutral zone and their own zone; and Joel Hanley is Joel Hanley. I just don't see how you fix the d group right now outside of some super minor moves. I don't see us trading Bourque or Stankoven, Bichsel went back to Europe and Kyrou is still at least a year away. We had some guys who might have helped but they are likely going to miss the season.
