Some offseason updates:

2024-25 schedule will likely be released around 2 weeks after the conclusion of the SCF.

The annual Hangar Stars sale will take place at the AAC shortly after the conclusion of the NBA finals (later this month).

And the big one:
Ballys will soon be branded FanDuel Network. The Stars are working on a direct-to-consumer option, but the ongoing bankruptcy issues are muddying the waters a bit. Some sort of announcement is on the horizon, with an option for non Ballys/FanDuel subscribers for next season expected.

It's amazing what happens when you call penalties fairly against Edmonton. Florida is also really damn good.

Penalties or not, Florida is by far the better team in this series, and I am not sure how close it is.

On one hand I do agree that we matchup better with Florida, but on the other I really thought we struggled at times against them and the style of hockey that they play. Their super physical brand of hockey would've been a big adjustment for us, but one that we probably could've done better than adjusting to Edmonton.

We would've done better against Florida than Edmonton is doing. Oh well.

Definitely think our depth would have been a problem for FL - EDM was carrier by weak calls and Skinner of all people against us.

Edmonton was allowed to set screens, hook, interfere and even throw intentional shots to the head repeatedly in the worst officiated series I have seen. We failed to capitalize on our opportunities, especially the McBaby double minor in Game 1. If we score there, it might have been 3-0 starting out. The series was just a perfect storm of crap.
