Was able to catch the last half hour or so today. Knew from prior coverage that today's stage was going to be a sprinter finish and a big peloton stage for most of it. That last bit was great! I was pulling for Cavendish, he was so dang close.

Cav is in such a crap position considering his team. He was alone and unprotected for way too much of that sprint. He had no choice but to go early.

Yea I definitely noticed that in the few minutes leading up to the stretch. Knew if he did end up getting it, it would have been all him.

Mathieu van der Poel did a lot of work for Jasper there at the end.

Apparently Cav's chain slipped gears in the sprint. You can see him sit down and slow slightly just before Philpsen comes past.

Yep. I have Peacock for soccer so don't have to wait until the next day. I can't imagine there would be enough people signing up to watch TdF especially during the week when all the USA broadcasts are syndicated re-runs.

Yeah I don't think Paris has been contested since Lemond time trial in 89.
