We all know about the sorry football season. But my gosh, I feel like every time my 12th Man app notification goes off, we've lost another game.

Worst fall I can ever remember.

Everything you said is accurate. There ARE teams/individuals who are on the rise. But many of us feel beaten down, especially by our self imposed disaster known as football. It's not just bad, it's really bad. A national joke.

Many look only at football, I am one that looks at many, if not all of the sports. But I can't muster up the enthusiasm you have. I am a bit envious. I look at softball, soccer, volleyball...all down. Women's b-ball has floundered and is in a transition. I am not sure I have seen Aggie sports this low across the board...ever.

We as a school (and business), have committed too much money, support, effort to our athletic programs to feel like we are getting a good value. Again, football stands out the most.

We are low or middle in the SEC in too many sports. I don't have a solution, just venting a bit, it's frustrating. I DO hope all the sports you mentioned excel, I will look for the silver lining with those sports.

Keep up your enthusiasm. I hope to join you at the level some day.

I remembered when we moved to the SEC most of the women's programs (Volleyball, Soccer, Basketball, Swimming) were top in the SEC. I agree we have fallen away badly. I also remembered us beating the sips several years in the Lone star showdown and now they have gone on to win the Director's cup.

I guess we can only move up from where we have fallen. With some of the coaching changes I hope we can back to where we were.

I think one of the problems we have sometimes is that some coaches don't know when to stop coaching and pass on the mantle to someone else. They persist until the program begin to fall away and then we have a rebuilding cycle again.

Lol I'm not buying into the success, I too am extremely dissapointed in our athletic program! The lows outweigh the bad. This administration from top to bottom is flat out underperforming and what seems worse is it doesn't bother them! They care more about the money and how they look on social media than the actual results. Sharp, Young, Board, AD all need to go… it's embarrassing

I don't know how our schools administration and athletic department can sit by as tu is just flat out dominating us in almost every single sport! Most sports we are average to below average and they are nearly ranked in every single thing. I hate it so much! But it doesn't bother our AD and his staff! They look cool on social media and their suits are well pressed so it's all good in Aggieland!

How have we fallen so badly though? It has all been so gradual that it's shocking. The only answer is admin.

My dream is to one day become a collegiate AD, so whenever A&M is making a turn for the better and being lifted from out of the dumps… you're welcome

And now our hopes for basketball seem to be... misplaced. Perhaps too early but geez. We are not winning in anything right now, really.

Two things I am curious about (but maybe I don't want to know....?)

Where does A&M rank in the last five to ten years compared to the rest of the SEC schools and their sports teams? Wins, conference standings, NCAA tourney success, etc...seems like we have fallen off quite a bit. And perhaps besides baseball, we are a LONG way off in many sports to even compete, never mind challenge in a final 4 of a sport? Maybe a few schools would be lower? But when you factor in size of school, money spent, it may be an embarrassing ranking? While many smaller/less money/other schools may not have across-the-board success, there have been several with National Titles at least in some sport(s) (Miss, Miss St, Vandy...)

Second, what is the actual process to find and contract with a new coach? Do 'we' go out and recruit them, similar to athletes? If so, WHO are the ones that do that? The research, the comparisons, the contacting and 'sales pitch'. I really wonder, besides baseball, is it the coaches, the players recruited, the atmosphere...I am really struggling to find the common thread?

Just searching for some kind of explanation as to why we are where we are...

I wouldn't say the athletic department is at all time lows as far as success on the field, however, this is probably the worst Fall sports (Football, Volleyball, Soccer) in school history, or at least since all three were being played (early 90s).

There are some sports that are doing really well and the Spring will be much better. But we are behind Texas overall and that's a big change from just 5-10 years ago when we were consistently better. The next few years will tell the tale for Bjork and his hires. Personally, I'm a bit underwhelmed with a few of his hires so far, but hope I'm wrong.
