Down 3-0 in hockey isn't as bad as basketball at least. I know it's sucks, but I guess the way to think or approach things now is 2 out of the next 3 are at home. If the team can play like they did in game 2 every game the rest of the way then who knows.FWAppraiser said:

So, I'm not a hockey lifer. Never played. But have lived the stars for as long as they have been here and wish I could have. Someone more experienced please explain.

How can they possibly see the Benn penalty as worse than the hit on Pavloski in the first game of the Wild series? That guy went full speed into his head on purpose, knocked him out, laugh about it on the way to the box and got reduced to a minor penalty while Pavloski was out for the whole series and could have been hurt worse. Benny's penalty was stupid and completely deserves the major and the mi'sconduct, but they have spent the whole game talking like he stood above the guy and tried to chop off his head! It was stupid, but Stone was not hurt, popped back up and has played.. Wtf.
They have played like ****, and don't deserved to win, but come on! This league needs to get it's **** together and have some consistency, or it is just a joke.

Bs. He was going upward at shoulder level and wanted to hit his head. In football, that is targeting based on the end result. Laughing on his way to the box and a history don't help his cause.

It's crazy to think that this whole series fell apart in only about 5 minutes of game time after being pretty even for the first 115ish.
Stars were 2 mins away from winning Game 2, then tied, then lost. All in 3 minutes of hockey. Then down 1-0 in Game 3 followed by the idiotic Benn penalty within the first 2:00 and now the wheels are completely off. Never say never, I suppose, but these guys look cooked.

It may be a little better than the NBA, bit not much. All time, teams are 4-200. I want to be positive, but it's tough after that one.
My feelings exactly. Pretty pathetic from almost everyone in the arena tonight- fans included. I don't mind losing the last 2 games. We fought hard (even when they had us playing off our game), and got beaten by a better team or an unfortunate bounce.

That was really rough. I was at the 6-1 game 7 against the Blues in 2016 and I feel about equally as bummed about this game. Would love to see the team fight back and get it to game 7 again.
Was at the game and was shocked and embarrassed. "Captain" set the precedent and everything after followed script. Such a weird series.

We were bums for about 5 total minutes of hockey in game 2, including OT. The other 58 minutes I would say we were certainly not.

That was a very poorly officiated game and many of the non calls on Vegas - the trips, the elbows and even a slew foot - happened right in front of the refs. Then they call ticky tack stuff on us. Then they give Domi a game misconduct for standing up.
We would still have a lost a fairly officiated game, but those jackasses made it a lot worse and the crowd lost it on the Domi call.

As to not speaking to the media, I come at it from DeBoer's perspective. There's no need for pile on in this scenario, or get absolutely berated by the media. He knows he screwed up, just like everyone in the building and watching that game. Sometimes after serious screw ups or incidents, it's best to let things breath so people can get their right mind back.

Wasn't able to start watching the game until around 9pm tonight, and by the time I felt like I had gotten settled in for an enjoyable evening of hockey it was already basically over.DeangeloVickers said:

After the crappy start I got impatient and fast-forwarded through most of the second/third periods at 4x speed... thinking I would stop and watch the rest again at regular speed once the Stars got their first goal. Needless to say that never happened.
My main takeaway, as I repeatedly glanced up at the scorebox while fast-forwarding through the second half of the game, was how few shots on goal Vegas actually had to be winning so handily.
On the beer front, I made it out to Cedar Park for game 4 and 5 of the Texas Stars series this past weekend (the first time I'd been there since the Aeros left for Iowa), and noticed that all of the beers at the main concessions were AB products. I was driving anyway so it wasn't a big deal for me... but it did seem that there were fewer beers being sold/consumed than I would have expected.
Whaddaya think, should Otter play game 4? Coming from the perspective of a Devils fan even the thought of benching him in the playoffs for Scott Wedgewood boggles my mind.
Otter hasn't been anything special in this playoffs. We would likely be in the same position had we alternated him and Wedgewood.
I had golf league tonight, so I guess it worked out that I didn't watch. What an absolute trainwreck.
