I'd take 5 of those before having another OTL.

Regardless of how our series ends up, it's gonna be tough for anyone to shut down Florida. They're damn good top to bottom.

Watch the end of eastern conference final just pisses me off even more with how yesterday unfolded.

They are also getting what it typically take to win a cup, and something no one left in the playoffs is, elite goaltending. Bob is playing unconscious right now.

If the Cats win it all, is Bob a HOF lock? The only knock has been his playoff performances, but a Cup + 300 wins + 2 Vezinas = HOF for me

Stars should be heavily favored tonight. With the team being at home, losing the last 2 games in OT and losing game 2 despite dominating 90% of it. That lapse by Suter in game 2 with 2 minutes left is the absolute worst. Vegas was going to pull their goalie if we could've just cleared the puck out of the zone then.

I know this doesn't tell the whole story, but dang this is ugly.

You just have to wonder if playing so many games this year has affected Otter.

He's been below average, but him being below average combined with our defense being a sieve has led to those shocking numbers. To many broken plays, free shots on goal, and slow feet. I feel sure that his use this year has some effect, but I don't think it's the biggest issue.

The stat you're ranking by is cumulative. The best column to sort by is the "per 60". Then see where he ranks. It isn't the worst, but it isn't Cup-winning caliber either.

He only moves up to 19th with that sorting. His ranking isn't what's important here. It's those numbers being negative that's concerning.

Outside of a couple of games in the playoffs Ottenger has been below average. In the regular season he was consistently bailing out our defense and that's not happening now.

Hill is making the big stop when his team needs it and Otter isn't.

The defense and the bad line changes are issues too, but Otter deserves some criticism.

GSAx accounts for the quality of shots a goaltender faces, so the defensive play in front of him is already taken into account. I agree the defense has major deficiencies, but those numbers are Otter's. GAA is more of a team stat, IMO.

I think, and have argued, that he's never played this much in his career and the usage is having an effect. Not everyone agrees, but it's that or he's not as good (yet) as people thought. And I'm not even saying he's bad, but he's not the guy that makes that "one save" when his team needs it. At least not consistently.

He hasn't seemed to be "feeling" the puck well in a long time. Too many instances of uncontrolled rebounds. Add the random head scratching decisions/positioning ala the pirouette in Game 1 OT, and you have a guy that hasn't elevated his game for these playoffs and hasn't looked on top of his game for a while. Sure, he's had his moments, but he hasn't been consistently good in a while. If only we were getting 2022 playoff Otter...but we have to remember that he's still young and early in his career. He wasn't asupposed to be that good last season yet. I guess he's just regressed back from elite to below average. Seriously. 19th in GSAx per 60 is well below average considering some of those guys only play 1-2 games this postseason.

The Stars have to play great like they did for most of Game 2 from here on out. If Otter gives them an elite performance, it's just gravy. But they/we can't expect him to steal a game at this point.

With all of that said, I would gladly take Otter standing on his head tonight.

It's been an odd playoffs for goalies. Teams frequently playing 2 goalies, Otter has at times been slow, Vasilevsky wasn't the best either. Don't know what happened to the Boston goalies, yuck.

Problem is that's how Vegas has won games all year. They just always find a way to win.

So we ended up going to the game.

Took the train from Fort Worth and we struck a car on the tracks just a few minutes from the AAC. The guy is fine, but his Porsche is not.

We are stuck on the train now and may miss a good portion of the game.
