As good as Jim Nill has been, signing Suter to a four year deal is equally as bad. Just a horrendous decision and contract. There's a reason Minnesota BOUGHT HIM OUT FFS. I'm over watching this entire group of defenders not named Miro.

Signing Suter always seemed like a desperation move, but I also don't know what was out there in the market that the Stars could have gotten.

Really it was the 4 years that bothered me the most. Never liked Suter's game.

Stephen Johns retiring and Oleksiak getting snatched by Seattle put Nill in desperation mode with our defense. Suter was available. The signing made sense at the time, but 4 years was a stretch then and just seems more and more awful with each passing mistake.

Tough loss, again.
Think getting home will help for at least the next game, but not expecting this version of the Stars to win 4 of the next 5. Too suspect on team defense.

I'm a positive guy so yes, I can see us going back to Vegas with the series tied. From there is best of 3.

Easier to think of than winning 4 of 5, at least mentally

We don't know if Hakanpaa is healthy. If he is healthy then he's coming in for either Hanley or Miller.

I've never been a fan of Suter's game, but unfortunately he's the best option we have.

I'll get truly concerned if we lose one of the next two games. We played better in the 3rd period of Game 1, and we played a lot better in Game 2. We 'should' have won the game, but losing it doesnt just negate that we played better.

With Otter we have a chance. He's had some clutch games with his back against the wall.

And, I feel better after today because the Stars were 100% the better team for 58 minutes. I could easily see it 2-2 after Thursday night. Series should be 1-1 right now and it's a big hill to climb, but win the two at home and see what happens.

The approach from both fans and the team needs to be

Protect home ice. Don't worry about what who's ahead in the series! Just focus on making sure that Vegas doesn't win a game in Dallas. Do that and you'll have 2 chances to win 1 in Vegas.

Lets get it done.

Otter has had one quality start in the last nine according to the Athletic. He hasn't been special at all.
