When we don't win the initial face off in the o zone, I think our chances of a successful PP go down significantly.

We've really struggled at even entering the zone against Vegas so far

It definitely makes it more difficult when we try to make a pass to someone standing right on the blue line. Better when we skate it in then pass it back to the line.

If not for the Hanley/Harley fiasco. It's 1-0. Guess I'll take it.

Harley is looking like rookie for really the first time this playoffs. No knock on him, Miro even looked bad in game 1. Vegas is a really good team. No offense to Minnesota and Seattle, but Vegas is clearly a better team. This game and the rest of the series is going to be a hard fought battle. Can't affortd too many rookie like mistakes.

Vegas is definitely a more sound team all around.

PK definitely pulling for the Stars, he is wearing a green pendant and didn't like the 1st penalty!

One thing that's driving me crazy is the passing and zone exits in particular. They've better this game than last, but still not up to snuff.

This is one part of the game that DeBoer harps on, and we've been inconsistent with it all playoffs long. I know there's a good team on the other side that has something to say about it, but the passing needs to get cleaned up. Some of that will only come with upgrading the blue line in the offseason, but the guys on this roster are certainly capable of better than they're showing

Stars 1 Refs 1 heading into second period

Weak for a playoff penalty for sure, but it really was interference. I'd prefer they not call it, but they did and aren't technically wrong, IMO.

What drives me crazy is they could have called that a couple of times against Vegas. If you're going to call the marginal stuff, keep it consistent. I'll take a special teams battle against this Vegas team any day.

They're missing the net...a lot. Sometimes it's better to be lucky than good, I guess.

Shots on goal can often be a misleading stat, it's just an easy stat to throw up on screen
