I like Sean McDonough for a lot of sports but ESPN should have immediately brought Gary Thorne back to call NHL games. That guy was great.

I was noticing the skate tracks at the beginning of the period were more pronounced than usual. Could very well be softer.

I've been watching hockey since I was a little kid. Don't ever recall seeing this amount of random slips/trips/falls and puck mishandlings before. Something has to be wrong with the ice. It's like they're playing on a frozen pond or something.

They're all skating slowly, too. Perhaps having to be more careful than usual
