What ever the rules are and the playing field we need to adjust, adapt, and recruit to those measures. We cannot cry about other teams and how they get more runners. We need to show up and compete with the other schools. Somehow they are getting more competitors especially in the sprints, hurdles, and distance.

you're right but I meant to say that we began the school year with almost every girl besides Mu, counting Gittens as one that we lost

Assuming we had Tyra on our roster and she beats Hall in the hep and gets a 2nd in high jump and 3rd in long jump. We score 63, Florida scores 70… but maybe we'd fight harder on the 4x4 if we're fighting for something. Deborah Acquah would have had to make it in the triple and score as well and possibly the sprint relay. It could have been done, although somewhat difficult. You could say she lost 2 Texas schools a title lol

I don't think anyone was beating Florida this year even with Tyra.

I'm more upset about 2021. We should have won both were it not for covid. The non-participation of distance runners indoors and the two fifth years at USC that would have been done in 2020 outdoors cost us both titles.

I also think we have been so injury prone it was always going to be difficult. Maybe a top 3 was possible.
However if we were all healthy that would have been a different story.
I think a few injured persons if fully fit could have help with some points
Bara Sajdokov
Syaira Richardson
Domique Mustin
Avi Wilson-Perteete (covid and injury)
Zhane Smith

Some other points
I think Kaylah Robinson is good enough and could have won the 100m hurdles but it just didn't happen on the day.
I also think Laila Owens is good enough to make the finals and score.
Tierra Robinson Jones was supposed make the finals and score.
I also expected the two javelin throwers to be in the final 9 and score but they didn't throw their best while many others PBed on the day
I agree Deborah Acquah is a top 3 triple jumper as well.
I also think Bailey Googans and Heather Abadie is good enough to have made it to NCAA

Again everyone has to do their best on the same day because we don't have the depth and diversity in events as other schools.
