That's got to be gutting for McLaughlin, he owned that race.
I have to take back everything I've said about JJ. He was driving the wheels off that car. I watched him quite a bit to day and he was dicing it up nicely.

Anything interesting happen in F1 today?

I had a good time at the race today. Has anyone done pit passes at TMS before? Might try that next year to see everything up close before the race.

I would think there are plenty of open dates at tracks around the country to accommodate Indycar. I would love to see them run the infield track at Daytona.
Follow the money I guess. But it would sure be nice to see more races on the schedule.

Grosjean posted a YouTube video of him doing some sim training and explaining the track. It seems brutally difficult.

I think it has value on ovals, but yeah not the biggest fan on road courses. They have had them since the final years of the split, though.

Both McLaren drivers are in contract years and they are adding a third full time entry for 2023. Since Herta signed to be the reserve driver for McLaren F1, it would make a lot of sense.

Based on practice speeds, I'd say you've got a good shot at the pole if you are a Honda, and an even better shot if it is a Coyne or Ganassi car.
