Callum Ilott suffered a broken right wrist in the Indianapolis 500 crash that ended his day, and with the punishing street course at Belle Isle up next on the calendar, the Juncos Hollinger Racing driver won't have enough time to heal before that wrist is asked to handle the severe bumps and jumps found around the street circuit.

In his place, Santino Ferrucci will drive the No. 77 Chevy on IndyCar's final visit to Belle Isle before the Chevrolet Grand Prix of Detroit moves back to its downtown roots in 2023. Dang. Kirkwood had a good race going. A top 5 if he'd have just held onto the car.

Well managed race by Power and team. I'm a little surprised Rossi couldn't knock more time out of that lead.

Bad luck on the first pit, but just couldn't ever catch Newgarden. Good race, but no victory...

As confining and bumpy as the Toronto track looked during qualifying, I predict 37 yellow flags tomorrow......

I signed up for peacock just to watch qualifying and the race. And then I got busy and missed qualifying.
I'm told streaming is the future but I really wish they wouldn't do that.
Apparently Herta was flying again, P1. I will believe he can win on a street course when I see it with my own two eyes. Late in the race he will stuff it in the wall somewhere. Would love to be wrong.

Dixon is so good at managing his car and the race. Finally a mature drive from Herta bringing that home second.

Iowa race is looking pretty good so far. Races like this make me wish they still went to Milwaukee.

Wow Newgarden. I think the rear suspension let go.

I absolutely loathe short ovals but those were two pretty good races. IMS next weekend.

Herta is just a complete disaster. Andretti can't put him in the F1 seat. But it appears that they will.

The Peacock-only race was Toronto. This one was scheduled for NBC but golf and rain delay pushed it to CNBC.
