Good to see Chastain win. He and Trackhouse have been running strong this year. Daniel Suarez will be in victory lane before too long.

Also good to see some parity this year, at least early on. Lots of different drivers having success.

Hell of a weekend. Had a great time. COTA delivered the goods!

We really enjoyed the weekend. We got out there Friday just as truck practice started but left after qualifying to head to Aggieland for the baseball game.

Saturday was 9 hours plus and only bearable because I bought seats in the shade in the main grandstand. In the shade it was beautiful all day. I was impressed with truck driver Zane Smith's Q&A session at the Ford Performance Center so I put $10 on him for funsies in the race and wouldn't you know Alex Bowman took out the top 3 drivers in turn 19 on the next to last lap and Zane came out of nowhere to cruise to the win and put $150 in my pocket.

We got the track pass for Sunday so that added a couple of hours but it was fun to walk the track and listen to Kyle Larsen, William Bryon and Austin Cendric. I headed back to the car for an hour of shade time to watch F1 and then took in the race up in the Turn 1 grandstands.

I put $20 on Suarez to win it (would've paid $500) but we all know how that went. A flat tire and then power steering problems ended his chances after dominating the first stage.

I really enjoyed the extra elbow room and shorter concession lines as compared to F1 weekend.

This track hasn't provided any excitement since Clint Bowyer's itch. The only people who find the racing good are short track honks who actually race. I get the strategy and all that if you're involved in the race but for fans it's borrrring

FS1 showed the 1986 race this week. That one was pretty exciting. Kyle Petty fell butt-first into that win. Funniest part was Rusty Wallace getting stuck over a ditch.

I for one found the long green flag runs with needed fuel & tire strategy a nice and refreshing change from the stale stage racing forced cautions that seemed to eliminate the need for pit strategy

I'd like to think it's because of parity, but people used to love seeing Bill Elliott win all the time, so what do I know?

Rain delay at the Xfinity race at Martinsville and learned this about Cale Yarborough.

Ty Gibbs is a clown. Dude can absolutely not handle any adversity. Guy dives under Mayer and drives him up into Gibbs and he doesn't know what happened

Just about to post that. Gibbs with the hit and run too, hiding behind the officials and crew.

I can't figure out if he's just decided he's going to be a heel moving forward but the way he drives and then the way he reacts when be gets the same treatment is incredibly hilarious.

I'm ready to see him in cup just to see him get worked and then step to the wrong guy

Watched some of the videos regarding this incident and have determined Gibbs is a silver spoon in his mouth tool bag. What a spoiled ass brat.

Really boring race.

Today I'm walking up to Wunsche Bros. Cafe & Saloon in Old Town Spring (north of Houston) to grab some lunch and there's a film crew out front.

I see two recognizable faces, so I approach them and "As an Aggie and a Texan I'm excited to see Lyle (Lovett), but as a racer I have to meet Kyle (Petty)."

We talked racing a bit. Cool guy



Oh yea, I recommend the chicken fried steak, with a side of squash casserole.

Good to see that they rebuilt after the fire a few years ago.

Looks like North Wilkesboro is making a bit of return. Grassroots racing on the pavement and dirt this fall and then a replace on 2023.

Camping World Truck series at Bristol just started.

Bumpers on the 22 and 25 got stuck together.

Track was in great shape yesterday.

Would imagine they started working it again last night shortly after the race was over
