The chinese slave labor diving program comes thru again. How young do they start, how many hours do they put in at the expense of everything else in their life including any semblance of education, and how many that couldnt cut it are disposed of along the way?
And she doesn't win gold.TRM said:
Barring a knockout, the Chinese fighter won't win gold.

Suck it China.
The timezone thing you hinted at cannot be discounted. Most of Team USA didn't get to go there early to acclimatize.oragator said:
China has four times our population, basically has an entire government department to create olympians, and had this on their back yard.
We are the only major country in the world that doesn't have government funding for out Olympic program, our least golds since 2008. As far away from home as you can be if you re from the east coast in particular, and we still came through.
It's actually pretty remarkable, but this time round you have to give a big thanks to title 9, women won 58 percent of our medals. The college sports afforded to women in the US is the reason we came through in the end.

I'm pretty sure "Artistic Gymnastics" only exist to have at the very end of the 2 weeks so that fans of the Olympics will think "yeah, I guess they are out of sports to compete, it's okay for the Olympics to be over now"

Now I'm sad. The Olympics is my favorite sporting event barely edging out the World Cup.
