I'll update them with rankings based on the national qualifiers soon, but just wanted to give us all a picture of how the events are stacking up when it comes to the national picture! Like I said two days ago, Brissett and Davis not doing the hurdles may have helped us short term qualify some girls but it may have opened the door for LSU and USC to score more!

Yeah Arkansas only getting one girl in the 800, 1500, 5k, and 10k killed them. There's a chance they get less than 10 in all of those, but Gear in the 1500 and Maloney in the 800 should be the only ones who score! They lost the number one pole vaulter cause she didn't qualify, They will be around 30-35 points total! Us, USC, and LSU should all be above 60! USC has the most potential, but it's going to be so close! There's just more right of a competition in the sprints than the jumps and heptathlon! There's a chance Tee Tee Terry doesn't win both events and the other runners don't score! Cockrell should easily win the 400 hurdles but may only get 3rd or 4th in the 100 hurdles! It's going to be an intense competition!

What a great day for Fightin' Texas Aggie Track and Field. I enjoyed it. Fifteenth for team, farmers fight, call it a night. Gig'em!

I'm dead tired also, I've been staring at my tv and refreshing my phone since 11 lol! Taylor Swift needs her beauty sleep! Meet MVP's

Women's: Taryn Milton
Everyone's going to choose Athing Mu, but I'm picking TARYN MILTON! The 5th year senior came back and many didn't even notice! She began her career at A&M jumping 17/18 feet and was just always on the roster. But she kept with it, kept working, never gave up and let all of Aggieland know her name with her performance on Thursday! It was her first time ever making it to the preliminary meet and she went in ranked 32nd. Many thought she would just be competing and it would be the last time she competes in the maroon and white, but she had other plans! She unleashed a half foot PR (which in long jump is HUGE) and goes 21'0.5 to place 11th and sneak into the National Chanpionship Finals! She showed what this sport and what being an Aggie is all about!

Men's: Brandon Miller
Although Bryce Deadmon and Moitalel Mpoke put on amazing performances, Brandon Miller showed WHATS he'd done all season and put his heart on the line to win! As he dove across the finish line he defeated the Collegiate Leader and an athlete who many expect to perform well at the Olympic Trials! Miller ran smart and ran hard and ran by him down the homestretch! He also cut some people off to get a good position which helped Devin Dixon make a move as well! I can't wait to see what Brandon Miller does at nationals!

I wanna know who y'all's MVP's were as well!

I will also add Carlton Orange who could definitely could have scored at NCAA. Allon Clay if he was near his best although he didn't make regionals
Another dark horse is Yeboah who started to look really good. Could have gotten better by time NCAA and could have been a scoring threat. Also Ryan Martin who probably got injured out regional and Jace Comick who made NCAA the last time out. Just one great race and you can score at NCAA

On the women side I will add the three triple jumpers based on their previous best.
Stevenson had a 13.96m with a 2.1 wind back in 2019
Brown has had a 13.58m which a potentially scoring distance
Distin has a 13.36m before coming to college
They all could have been a scoring threat. Sometimes it takes one jump to make a difference (Tara Milton)

In the Long Jump
Zhane Smith had a 6.45m jump this season but had some really big foul jump around 6.60m plus which again could have been a scoring threat.

In the 400m hurdles
Mustin had a top 10 time and could have improved and be a scoring threat. She looked so good earlier in the season and I thought she was going under 57 seconds

400m
Don't count out Jaevin Reed to who has 51.5 PB in the 400m. A fit Reed could have done wonders. She had a good split in the 4x400m
