I just went out to ncaatickets.com to look for tickets. It shows tickets for sale for the East Prelims but it shows no tickets available here because of capacity limits. Does anyone know if this will change?

Oh my thanks for the info, that is such a bummer I realize it's a big meet but not everyone's family and friends are going to go! I'm hoping they release some last second though

There were no limits at the SEC Outdoor Championships last week (or if there were they weren't enforced)---unless the NCAA decides to defy the Governor I would be surprised if things are different next week.

If our governor isn't going to enforce mask/density requirements, I don't see much reason for the NCAA to withhold sales of GA tickets. Apparently the Jacksonville site will sell them..
If the reason at A&M is that there is really no more room after competitors and family attend, in reality (at least mine) A&M has no business holding this meet. I am all for the athletes having the best facilities to compete but American T&F needs spectators more than ever.

I would anticipate a large crowd with 48 competitors in each individual event--there will be a lot of schools represented that we don't normally see here---expect a lot of first time athletes, families and coaches to our facility. I know they will be impressed.

agree also maybe it's cause I'm a huge fan, but I rather the athletes and their families get the tickets... I'm just happy our athletes get to run on their own track at their school in their town! Even if no spectators were allowed Id be okay if our athletes are fine with it, they always come first!

I called the ticket office yesterday. I was told they gave participating schools until May 24th to get their athlete's parent pass list in. When that list is compiled they will release the rest of the tickets for sale. Pretty last minute if you ask me, but I do think there will be some for sale!

It is now saying that only athletes parents will be allowed.
"due to capacity restrictions, general public tickets will not be available. Tickets will be limited to player guests."

Didn't think we had any capacity restrictions in Texas

I don't think it is capacity restrictions, it is just 48 athletes per event x 21 events x 2 genders so lots of tickets go to family of competing athletes. Hopefully the stands get expanded in the future
