I believe she can qualify for three events at the Olympics even though she has only the automatic qualifier in the long jump

There are 24 spots in the heptathlon. Only 9 persons have qualified so far. The remaining 16 spots may be filled based on the heptathlon rankings. The heptathlon qualifying score of 6420 points was increased from 6200 points from the 2016 Olympic games.

I would like to thank all of you that are giving the analysis and up dates! It means a lot to this fan who is 1,000 miles away and can't attend in person! Keep up the awesome work!

I'm most excited about seeing if Mu can go lower. Bryce in the 400 should be exciting too. I'd just be happy with a win from Tyra, regardless of the height. Most of the best high jumpers in the country are in this competition. She's done her share and then some the past two days. Will be interesting to see if anyone can climb up spots in finals. We had our fair share of 8ths and 9ths in qualifying so we are playing with a of house money from a points standpoint.
