I'll be keeping tabs of our signees and posting how they do! I'll be in attendance Friday and Saturday as I have one of my athletes I coached since she was little competing in the throws on Friday! Here's a little write up I put together a couple weeks ago on our signees who have qualified!

A&M signee Kennedy Wade goes 52.77 which is the 7th fastest time in Texas high school history in the 400 to advance to state, advances in the 800 as well! Bryce Foster advances in the shot put and discus, Maci Irons in both, Hunter Harrison in the discus, Caleb Murdock, Montana Welch, and Regan Ruffner in the pole vault, Emma Ellis in the 3200 Going to have a strong contingent of Aggies running and throwing at state! Irons and the 3 pole vaulters are 4A regional champs, Ellis won the 6A region 3 meet along with Foster, and Wade, with Harrison is 5A!

Maci Irons in the throws will compete along with Caleb Murdock, Montana Welch, and Regan Ruffner in the Pole Vault beginning tomorrow morning!

Also Kennedy Wade a 400/800 specialist with a PB of 52.77 this season has a chance to break Olympian Courtney Okolo's state record of 52.40

Bryce Foster will be attempting to win 2 gold medals as he contests the shot put and discus on Saturday!

Aggie Signee Maci Irons of Monahans places 2nd in the 4A State shot put with a toss of 43'9! First place was a sophomore from Giddiings at 47'7... we better get on her early

Future Aggie Maci Irons earns another silver medal in the 4A discus with a toss of 134'11!

Future Aggies Montana Welch and Caleb Murdock got to the podium in the men's 4A Pole Vault! Welch of Taylor High School PR'd and cleared 15'9 for the bronze medal! Murdock will take the gold and is currently attempting 16'9 after no misses through 16'3

Future Aggie Caleb Murdock will win the gold with a clearance at 16'3! He missed his attempts after moving the bar up to 16'9! We got two great pole vaulters on the way!

Future Aggie Reagan Ruffner of Argyle wins bronze in the 4A Pole Vault jumping 12'6! Her and Heather Abadie who has a PB of 13'9 will be great additions to our Pole Vault room!

Isn't 3A &4A running now? Supposed to be carried on NFHS Network but don't see it anywhere. They had all the field events but no running

Future Aggie Cutler Zamzow runs a huge 47.37 to win the 3A 400 Meter Run!

Emma Ellis (Magnolia) runs 10:58.20 in the 3200m placing 6th in the 5A state championship

Future Aggie Hunter Harrison places 3rd in the 5A Discus Throw and being there in person you know he's going to acclimate to the college discus well! He's easily 6'5 or over and has hands that practically cover the entire discus. Has some technical issues that once fixed he should develop into a great discus thrower!

So many high school guys so far have run under 10.50 for 100m which is much is faster than some of our sprinters. We should at least be able to recruit a couple of them.

Bryce actually trailed after 4 throws but hit a huge toss of 68 on his fifth then the monster 71'1" on his final throw.

In the same race, future Aggie Maddie Livingston ran 10:45.15 to finish 3rd.

That is awesome, saw her run at regionals too with Conde De Frankenburg! I'm assuming she didn't sign on signing day in December but glad she's apart of the class! I wonder who else is signed to us!

I know I wanted her to get that record!! but to see the strides she's made in that race I feel she can come in next year run a 51 and be a part of our 4x400!! our recruiting class may have been small but we have potential point scorers nationally in her, Bailey Goggans in the 800, Heather Abadie in the pole vault, and Katelyn Fairchild in the javelin

Kennedy Wade was recruited with 54.68 in 400m and 2.12.16 in 800m.
Now she is the state championship in 52.77. Texas A&M saw the potential in her from early. How many schools saw that potential and offered her a scholarship?
I am wondering if she had an offer from USC, Arkansas, LSU, Oregon, Florida etc with a 54.68 PB in the 400m.
Every top sprinter and hurdler in the state wants to go LSU, Oregon, USC etc. Let them go. I believe we can take some athletes with not so good times and make them great. We can also go for international athletes like many schools.

Anyone know where those two kids that ran 10.00 in the 100 are going to college? I know it was wind aided but still some good talent.

At the moment both are unsigned! Not sure how unless grades are a factor!

I'd expect a LOT of signing movement with a lot of schools now that the Texas state meets are over and, since we are coming to the end of NCAA outdoor season, rosters for Fall 21 are starting to really take shape.

With the amount of attrition the Ags have had this past school year though graduation and otherwise, I'd expect them to be a player for several folks' services.
