"K.J. Grimes and Alessio Pirruccio kick things off for the Maroon & White with the hammer throw at 4 p.m., Friday evening. Rachel Bernardo and Annie Fuller enter the 1,500m, while Jon Bishop and Gavin Hoffpauir wrap up day one with the 5,000m at 7:45 p.m.

The majority of action for the Aggies happens on day two, starting with the men's discus at noon, while the women's 4x100m begins running events at 1:30 p.m. Notable individual entries on the track include Connor Schulman in the 110m hurdles, and Charokee Young and Tierra Robinson-Jones in the 400m. The men's 400m features NCAA-leader Bryce Deadmon (44.62), along with Devin Dixon and Carlton Orange. Moitalel Mpoke, ranked No. 6 in the nation in the 400m hurdles, enters his main event.

In the field events, Sean Clarke (pole vault), Zhane Smith (long jump), Deborah Acquah (long jump) and Ciynamon Stevenson (triple jump) each rank in the top 20 in the country in their respective events. Smith is No. 13 in the long jump at 21-6 (6.45m), followed by Acquah at No. 16 with her season best at 21-1.25 (6.43m). Stevenson and Clarke are each No. 17. Stevenson has a season-best mark of 43-3.25 (13.19m), while Clarke has vaulted 17-9 (5.41m).

Josh Brown ranks No. 4 in the SEC and No. 12 in the west region in the discus at 186-1 (56.72m) is slated to enter his respective event."

Yup looks to be a big meet for us!! Interested to see what Orange will do in the 400 and interested to see if Dixon will return to his old self!! I'm hoping Acquah is feeling good and go high 21 to improve her ranking!! I also hope our hurdlers can all drop their times!! Can't wait for the start list

At last week's interview Coach Henry mentioned she is a bit hurt right now but was happy that she was able to run both 400m and relay at the home opener meet

Sad we couldn't field a 4x100 relay women's team today. We have been struggling to put together a consistent 4 persons due to injury, covid etc. Not sure when we could get back to having a really good 4x100 women's relay team.
The men ran a slow time of 39.54 about 1 second behind LSU

LSU men and women are really firing on all cylinder in the sprint, hurdles and now 400m.
Sad we have gone downhill in the sprint and hurdles over the last number of years. I haven't seen any new recruits we have signed this year so far to change that

Nice PB by Caden Norris of 1.50.84 in the 800m. Imagine he is faster this season that Devin Dixon and Allon Clay. Clay is really struggling this outdoor season. He ran a 48.75 in the 400m today

Clay's outdoor season has indeed been concerning!! Good job by Norris! Hope PV guys and 400 hurdlers do well

PB for Mustin of 57.52 in the 400m hurdles to place 3rd among collegians

Amazing time by Mpoke but LSU may have just moved as a favorite over Oregon with that performance by Burrel

Great 400 hurdle PR's by Kirk Collins 51.49 and Ricky Waer 52.22 almost a second for both!

Did Tierra really opened with 51.1 or was it Charokee Young? Young split 52.997 is rather slow for her. Nice split though for Jaevin Reed of 53.1 (if she can run that in the open 400m would be great). Another great split from Mu of 49.9.

Yeah I don't think those were the right legs, but if so great for Tierra, a normal run from Charokee and a 51/52 from Syaira and we're talking 3:24

Dixon split a 45.5 which is step in the right direction. Very slow 47 from Miller. Mpoke has to go faster in the opening leg to be competitive. We were 2 seconds behind LSU.
Not sure if James Smith will be back outdoors and if he does he seems to very much injury prone.
I really thought Dewitt Thomas would have been a great help in the 4x400m and a real threat in the 400m hurdles but he only ran a few 400m and hasn't run any 400m hurdles. I really don't what is his story

According to twitter the order was Miller, Dixon, Mpoke and Deadmon so Mpoke split 45.5, Dixon 47.1 and Miller 46.3

Sad to realize that I believe that order! I miss the old Devin Dixon

Honestly all the super seniors that came back because of the outdoor season cancellation have not really perform well. Based on current form they are likely not contribute much points to the team

Some distance runners for A&M went to go compete unattached at Rice today including, Juan Arcila, Colton Colonna, Bobby Holt, Teddy Radtke, David Serrato, Harrison Tillman on the men's side. Laura Fairchild, Mary Rodriguez, Michala Janssen, Catalina Cerda, Tatum Shelton, Katelyn Buckley!

Serrato and Colonna led the men in the 1500 at 3:59 and Rodriguez leads the women going 4:39! All ran the 1500 except for Buckley and Shelton running the 5k soon!

Weird we didn't know about this meet or the runners running in Houston...

Some of it has to do with Covid rules. Meets are capping the number of entries and athletes, so some of the kids have to look for some place to race, but even in past years we've had kids run attached at other meets like at Tx State or UTSA.

She's going to jump a lot further than this at some point.

Orange has been very solid but yes would have expected more than we are getting.
